Ceiling fan work we do

The common jobs are new ceiling fan installs in bedrooms and living areas — often combined with a light kit so the fan replaces an existing light fitting — and replacements where an old fan has failed, wobbles, or is past its useful life. In the older weatherboard homes around the Sale CBD and along the Raymond, York and Foster Street spine, the ceilings are often high, so we check the mounting point and the ceiling joist structure before fitting a fan. In the 1970s brick homes in Guthridge and Sale North, we frequently add fans where there was only a light before, running a new switched circuit. On the newer Wurruk estates, outdoor-rated fans on alfresco areas are popular, and we fit weatherproof fans rated for the location.

We also install fans with wall or remote controls, reverse-cycle fans for winter air circulation, and fans integrated with LED lighting and dimming. Every fan install is on an RCD-protected circuit, properly mounted to a joist or a fan-rated bracket — never just screwed into plaster — and tested for balance and wobble before we leave. If the install needs a new switch or a new circuit, we will tell you up front and check the switchboard has capacity.

Supply or use your own
